Ep. 14 - Kitchen Sink Fried "Rice"

I call this one Kitchen Sink Shrimp Fried "Rice" because you can put almost everything (but the kitchen sink!) in there. I used cabbage but this would also be good with cauliflower standing in for the rice (just be sure to chop the cauliflower small). This has a similar taste to the egg roll so if you liked that, you'll like this!

Recipe:

  • .5 c Cabbage
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 15 medium shrimp
  • splash soy sauce
  • 1-2 egg whites (eggbeaters)
  • 5 Spice Powder (optional)

Saute cabbage, celery, soy sauce, and shrimp in a non-stick skillet sprayed with PAM until mostly cooked. Push to one side of pan. Spray more PAM on the other side of pan and drizzle the equivalent of 1-2 egg whites. Scramble those around until cooked, chopping into small pieces as you go. Mix with the veggies and shrimp. Top with hot mustard if desired.
