Ep. 15 - Evil Fortune(less) Cookie

I've made a lot of Chinese food type recipes so I thought it would only be fitting to make a fortune cookie! This is actually the same recipe as for the Evil Protein cookie, but you shape the cookie into a fortune cookie.

Recipe:

  • 1/2 scoop Designer Whey Protein Powder in French Vanilla

  • 1 splenda packet

  • 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray

  • splash of water

Mix all ingredients in a microwavable bowl until batter is formed. For this recipe, you probably want the batter a little thinner so add a little more water. Make sure the batter is spread out into a flat circle (not a fat blob like for the cookie). Microwave for 20-25 seconds. Immediately pull the cooked dough circle out of the bowl and fold it in half slowly, being careful not to let it crack or tear. Then, holding it by the ends, bend the "closed" end slowly over the edge of the bowl making a fortune cookie shape. You can also pull the ends down over the rim of a glass or a muffin tin, or the handle of a wooden spoon, until the ends meet. Hold it in place until it cools enough to hold the shape on it's own (10-20 secs).

Nutrition:

Nutrition is the same as for the evil protein cookie. Count 1 carb for the splenda packet and 1 carb for the protein powder. Caloriewise - the protein powder is 45 cals. The butter spray is hard to count because the bottle says 0 cals, but i have heard 30 sprays is around 20 cals.
