Ep. 46 - Hearty Chicken Chili

This is so hearty and flavorful, you won't even remember that it uses ground chicken instead of beef! It's the perfect meal for a cold day.

Recipe:

  • 1 1/2 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cans tomato sauce - chili style
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic

Brown the chicken in a skillet with the green pepper, onion, and garlic. Add the sauce and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve with cheese, sour cream, or whatever you like to put on chili.

NOTE: I used Hunt's Chili Tomato Sauce. It's tomato sauce that has already been seasoned to be used in chili. If you can't find this, you can make your own sauce using 2 cans diced tomatos (like Rotel brand), a can of tomato sauce, a bit of tomato paste, chili powder, and cumin.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 20-30 minutes
